Is back-to-school season the right time to buy?

Dearest Friends,

After one of the busiest summers on record, Ottawa’s real estate market is on the cusp of another shift: back-to-school season. Realtors typically see an uptick in actively shopping buyers after Labour Day. Vacation season is over, the kids are back in class, and people have more time to focus on finding the perfect home for their family.

The prospect of moving in winter doesn’t appeal to many people, so the early autumn market is a season of motivated buyers. Multiple offer scenarios and quick sales are still common.

If you’re thinking of buying or selling once the frenzy of back-to-school calms down, we’re always happy to help.

Speaking of back-to-school, we’d like to thank all of you who participated in our Back-to-School Shopping Spree contest. We were so impressed by your entries, and we can't wait to do this again in the future!

Sincerely

Rachel, Dana, and Chris

The entire Rachel Hammer team has been a pleasure to work with, from everyone's support getting my place listed to Dana's experience and expertise through the entire selling and buying process, I couldn't be more grateful. Dana is thoughtful, honest and measured with her opinions which I found very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the brokerage or more specifically Dana to anyone looking to buy or sell their home. They have a client for life (I may already be planning my next move). Thank you all!
