Dear friends
What a hopping November it has been in our real estate market. Since the elections and the milder temperatures, many buyers are coming out and participating in the market, offers are being presented and some are being accepted. Its definitely a changing market out there and we are seeing activity but not necessarily the activity that we expect at this time of year.
Fortunately, with the great team working hard, I had the opportunity to step away for a few days this month and attend my first conference held by the National Association of Realtors. This huge annual event is truly a must see for every professional in the real estate industry. I was fortunate to be provided this wonderful opportunity by Royal Lepage Team Realty, and I am grateful for the experience.
The conference was held in San Diego, it had the largest expo I have ever seen with gadgets and gizmos I never thought existed for us realtors, I am so excited to bring so many valuable tools back to Ottawa and hope to share them with you over the next few months.
The best part were the seminars I attended, one brought me to tears. The knowledge I bring back for my business and the team is priceless. It is incredible how the market has changed in the United States and how grateful many realtors are that they made it through the “tougher times,” it made me wonder what Canada had in store for 2016. We have been fortunate to have the government programs to reduce the risk associated with the housing crash in 2008. But I must admit, I remain realistic, we have had it pretty good here in Ottawa and hope to continue to maintain our value and our industry.
Have a great few weeks before the holidays, they are certainly coming around the corner pretty quickly, wonder if the snow is coming too!?
Sincerely
Rachel
