Active | Suburban | Nature

A pinnacle of suburban design, West Ottawa has thoughtful shopping centres accessible by car, while transit is available along the main corridors. While it’s mainly vehicle-dependent it’s still a convenient neighbourhood.

Living In West Ottawa

West Ottawa used to be the town of Nepean before the amalgamation of Ottawa, and now includes the neighbourhoods of Nepean, Bells Corners, and Centrepointe. An established community with mature trees and balanced suburban living, West Ottawa is popular with seniors and families, especially those with active lifestyles, as there are many greenspaces and bike trails. You can also spend sunny days at Britannia Beach, and take advantage of the local Bruce Pit dog park. It’s also home to Algonquin College.

Real Estate in West Ottawa

The West Ottawa real estate market includes detached homes (1960s–1990s builds), townhomes, mid-rise condo apartments, and some rental apartment buildings (older stock). Think established suburban neighbourhoods with a mix of older detached homes and condo developments near transit and commercial corridors.
