West Ottawa used to be the town of Nepean before the amalgamation of Ottawa, and now includes the neighbourhoods of Nepean, Bells Corners, and Centrepointe. An established community with mature trees and balanced suburban living, West Ottawa is popular with seniors and families, especially those with active lifestyles, as there are many greenspaces and bike trails. You can also spend sunny days at Britannia Beach, and take advantage of the local Bruce Pit dog park. It’s also home to Algonquin College.
